Who We Are

Commercial Concreters for Builders & Developers

Envision Concrete is a commercial concrete contractor working with builders, developers and project managers across Adelaide and the Adelaide Hills.

Our commercial projects typically run from 350m² to over 3,000m², and our team has the experience to handle complex and large-scale works without losing quality or communication.

Every job is fully procured in-house: excavation, sub-base, formwork, reinforcement, concrete supply, placement and finishing. That means one point of contact, one accountable team, and no subcontracting the parts that matter.

Envision was established in 2022 through the merger of two long-standing Adelaide concreting businesses. Our 10 full-time staff include ticketed excavator operators, trained junior labourers and highly experienced senior concrete finishers, with 30+ years of combined industry experience.

Services

Commercial Concreting Services

From the slab on the ground to the slab on level two, we pour the structural concrete commercial projects depend on, to the engineer's specification and the builder's program.

Commercial & Warehouse Slabs

Warehouse, factory and commercial floor slabs poured to the engineer's specification. The performance of a commercial slab is decided before the concrete arrives: excavation to the correct depth, a properly compacted sub-base, accurate formwork, and reinforcement placed to the documented bar sizes, spacing and cover.

We manage every one of those stages in-house, then supply, place and finish the concrete, with control joints set at the right spacing and depth to direct shrinkage cracking where it won't cause problems. Slab projects typically run from 350m² to over 3,000m².

Suspended Slabs

Suspended slabs for multi-level commercial and mixed-use buildings, poured onto steel decking or formwork. Our crew places reinforcement to the engineering drawings, coordinates the pour with the builder's program, and finishes the slab to specification.

As with every structural element, we treat the drawings as the authoritative document. If anything is ambiguous, we raise it before concrete goes in, not after.

Hardstands

Heavy-duty concrete hardstands for truck yards, loading areas, and plant and equipment storage. A properly specified concrete hardstand carries trucks, forklifts and plant without the surface deformation that affects asphalt, and a well-built slab should give decades of service with minimal maintenance.

We set thickness and reinforcement to the loads the surface will actually carry. Broom finish is standard for slip resistance, with exposed aggregate available where appearance matters.

Our Process

How We Run a Commercial Pour

One crew, start to finish. Here's what happens on every commercial job.

  1. Drawings & Site Review

We review the engineering drawings and site conditions, and raise anything that needs clarifying before work starts.

  2. Excavation & Sub-Base

Our ticketed operators excavate to the correct depth, then we prepare and compact the sub-base to specification.

  3. Formwork & Reinforcement

Formwork is set in-house, and reinforcement is supplied and placed to the documented sizes, spacing and cover.

  4. Supply & Placement

We manage concrete supply, coordinate the pour with the builder's program, and place the concrete.

  5. Finish & Handover

The surface is finished to specification and control joints are cut, with curing guidance before handover.

FAQs

Commercial Concreting FAQs

What size commercial projects do you take on?

Our commercial projects typically run from 350m² to over 3,000m². Our team has the experience to handle complex and large-scale works without losing quality or communication.

Do you pour suspended slabs?

Yes. We pour suspended slabs on steel decking and formwork for multi-level commercial and mixed-use buildings, placing reinforcement to the engineering drawings and coordinating the pour with the builder's program.

Do I need engineering drawings before you can quote?

Drawings help us quote accurately and make sure what we pour matches what the structure requires. If your drawings aren't finalised yet, we can still have a preliminary conversation about scope.

Do you subcontract any of the work?

No. Excavation, sub-base preparation, formwork, reinforcement, concrete supply, placement and finishing are all handled by our own crew. You deal with one accountable team for the whole job.

How do you fit in with the builder's program?

We work to realistic timelines and provide a clear schedule before work starts so other trades can plan around us. If site conditions differ from what was assumed at design stage, we communicate it before concrete goes in the ground.

What areas do you cover for commercial work?

We take on commercial concreting across metropolitan Adelaide and the Adelaide Hills.
